" Pedro, why do you do this? This... this intentional action of yours us very unpleasant. You love Tita, but I am the one who gave you a son--it was me who went through the pain! I do not understand what I have done. I wish to be treated like a normal wife: cared for and loved for. How can you love another woman? Another woman that is my sister! My mother set this marriage up for you and I, and Tita is not involved in our contract of love. You say you do not love me, but are you sure? You should be ashamed of yourself. As for Tita, once I get my hands on her, she will not even look at you anymore. She has crossed the boundaries; the same boundaries that connect our marriage. And you let her cross it. Why? What does she have that I don't? If you wish to make love, I am here. If you wish to have kids, I am here, If you wish to be happy, I AM HERE! My heart shatters every time you take a glance at Tita! The others have observed it as well. They know what will happen if you and Tita happen to be in the same room. It isn't fair, my love. I will make you love me-- no matter what the cost is! You will get exhausted after trying to make contact with Tita. My plan will work with perfection, Pedro. You will love me-- and only me! I assure you."

What is it about him
that makes women fall?
Is it his lavish looks, hair and body,
or is it the fact that he is tall?

Narcissus, a name we all know
The sound of his voice makes women shiver.
Every time he looks at you,
yet again you fall and you quiver.

Who you are,
he has not the slightest clue.
He wishes to meet you,
no never mind, that's not true.He is to good for you,
so why do you care?
Please do not love him,
or even have an affair.

You should know that Narcissus,
whose looks just make you melt,
saw his own reflection,
and now he loves himself.

The story of Jason is one of bravery, courageousness, and determination. Jason led the Argonauts on the quest to find the Golden Fleece. He knew there were many dangerous obstacles to progress through, but his dedication to achieve his goal led him to success. George Clooney's story in Sudan is quite similar. Sudan is in a very critical crisis-with election leaders confused and dazed, Malaria spreading to additional areas, violence erupting from the lack of unity- no hope is left. George Clooney's presence changes that. He brought a concordant atmosphere to the nation, and helped the people overcome these difficulties.Arriving in Sudan in November, when he eventually caught malaria, Clooney wanted to give his gratitude to the people who he saw struggle with his own eyes.  First he resolved some political conflicts; the election was corrupted because of some leaders. He even aided victims of malaria to his maximum potential.  Heroic deeds will make you a heroic character in the world. Even Jason will think that George Clooney is indeed, a hero.

Dead Dreams
A review of The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

What if you had only a few months left to live? Wouldn’t you want to leave an impression of your life? The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, who was professor at Carnegie Mellon University, explains his childhood goals and dreams in a cathartic lecture to over 400 people. He passed away from pancreatic cancer on July 25th, 2007. While he was writing this book, he had a few healthy months left in his life, and he wants to elucidate that he achieved all of his goals. Everyone can achieve their dreams if they strive for the stars.

Success is the only option to a happy life. Success means to accomplish all your goals and dreams. My goal in life is to have a extraordinary lifestyle with happy beginnings and endings. There are many obstacles that will try to block my path to success such as money and people. This book teaches me that no matter what's in the way, I should be resilient and continue moving forward.” We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.”” Throughout the book, Randy explains how his intrepid attitude allowed him to attain his goals.

The book is written in an expository way. There are main chapters dealing with his moral and sub-chapters which have anecdotes that explain his experiences. The book contains 60 short chapters ( in chronological order) about significant aspects of Randy's life. The beginning and end of the book describes how he gives his lecture and how much of an impact it made to the world. His writing is very descriptive, and inspiring. The theme coincides with the article about the Muslim college in California, “New College teaches Young American Muslims,” because they both talk about obstacles that will try to navigate you in the wrong direction, and how you should be vehement of achieving your goal.

Randy Pausch was a highly eminent Computer Science professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He was also a world-famous virtual reality expert;he and his group of students successfully designed a cogent virtual reality system that would go on to become an immense technological invention during the time. Since he was a computer programmer as well, I learned slightly about C++ and Java programming, as he mentions it in the book.

Maybe one of the most inspirational books I have read, this book will make anyone realize that they can do practically anything you want if you really persevere and work hard. Even though this phrase is a cliché, it is very true. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling on the wrong path to success. The wisdom of Randy Pausch will guide them into the right direction. I would make sure my last lecture to the world will have a tremendous effect on the lives of others.

This auto-biographical book is explaining Randy Pausch's dreams, and how he achieved all of it by striving for the top. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he has only a few months left of his life. He wishes to give one last lecture about: achieving your dreams, overcoming obstacles, and of seizing every moment that you get. Even though I haven't read the whole book, I know this book is very inspirational. So far, I have been grateful that I am very healthy, and motivated by this man's dedication to his life. He is happy that he achieved all his goals before he died, and that's why I think Randy Pausch was a very benevolent human being.

Achieve your dreams by living life to the fullest; live life to the fullest by achieving your dreams. Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at carnegie Mellon was wondering if he made a difference to the world, and if his life was meaningful and worthy. He eventually realized that all of his childhood goals were achieved. He felt resolute to let others know that they can do the same if they just aim for the top. " An injured lion wants to know if he can still roar." Randy is referring to himself in his quote as an injured lion, because he has only a few months of a healthy life. He is symbolizing a lion's roar as a way to show strength and perseverance to others. I feel that he will do exactly that and will prove that his life was very successful.

Love is a very serious feeling. In this movie, love is portrayed throughout the entire plot. There were different kinds of love, such as: friendship, romantic, and family love. The love Mario feels for Beatrice coincides with romantic love. Mario and Pablo's relationship is friendly love, between two great friends. The insight of the movie is that we do not appreciate relationships until they are gone. After Mario's death, Pablo began to realize how significant their relationship was.

The social class did have some sort of effect on the movie. However, no matter what class you're in, you will always understand a feeling of love. The movie indicated that the higher the class, the higher the value. For example, Pablo Neruda is a world-famous poet. When Mario was alone in the bar, no one cared for him; when Pablo signed an autograph for him, everyone was shocked at this surprising event, and began to appreciate Mario's presence.

Mario began to admire Pablo's magnificent poetry. when he finds his love for Beatrice, he too is interested in wooing the woman of his dreams with words. Pablo agreed to assist him with writing poetry, and introduced him to metaphors. He also taught him to acknowledge nature in order to write poetry. Mario walks along the beach to produce metaphors like Pablo, and he is successful in winning Beatrice.

IL Postino was a movie that symbolized a man's dedication through poetry. It showed what true friendship really is, and how you know it exists. I learned that you can achieve anything if you truly want to achieve it. Overall, I thought the movie was alright. The elements of the movie weren't extravagant, but the moral is quite palpable. This was a fundamental way to learn a story of Pablo Neruda.

  1. Summary- He is describing how he feels about his clothes. His relationship with his clothes is very mutual. Clothes make him feel secure, and he is thankful for having them.

The essence in the night,
racing with the cold breeze.
Terrifies me how,
the acrid wind makes me wanna freeze.

But now as life changes, I realize
the temperature, is startin' to rise.
Always spitting venom at the enemy's words,
Being belligerent with every single verse.

The power of my words,
The lyrics with which I burn the night,
I feel the heat, maybe
the fire from the candlelight.

Basketball, it's just a game.
No, it's more than a game.
It's a passion.

The way your  possession impacts everything,
basketball is a life or death situation.
Basketball is like the military.
Trepidation in the eyes of the soldiers.

You work together with your comrades,
to battle the enemies.
Your comrade, he'll fall, and you are there
to lend a hand to him, being benign.

It doesn't matter what the outcome is,
as long as you fought hard and fought back.
You might have lost the battle, but in basketball,
you always win the war.
